Your Career at Carter-Ruck

Carter-Ruck’s unrivalled reputation as one of the UK’s most renowned law firms is built on the talent, energy and commitment of our lawyers and staff.

For this reason, we seek to attract individuals with these qualities to join our teams, whether as qualified lawyers, paralegals or support staff.

Paralegal

Carter-Ruck is currently seeking a paralegal for its media litigation department on a 6-month contract. Excellent academic credentials are essential (minimum upper 2:1 degree) and candidates are required either to be undertaking or have completed their LPC or SQE. Previous paralegal experience, particularly in media law and/or High Court litigation, preferred.

The successful candidate will be working directly with partners and other solicitors across the firm. We require the candidate to have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly analyse large quantities of evolving information. The work will include attending client meetings, court hearings, undertaking research, preparing bundles, costs schedules, assisting with the drafting of correspondence and various procedural documents, and some administrative tasks.

Subject to performance and business need, the successful applicant may subsequently be offered an extension of their contract which will be recognised as pre-qualification legal work experience for the purposes of the SQE.

To apply, please email your CV and covering letter to [email protected].
