VACANCIES

Solicitor

Carter-Ruck is currently seeking a qualified lawyer with up to 3 years post-qualification experience to work across the breadth of the firm’s departments (media, commercial litigation and international law). Experience in a dispute resolution department is essential. Excellent academic credentials are crucial as is an ambition to develop as a lawyer and grow a client base through business development.

The successful candidate will be working directly with partners and supervising junior fee earners. The candidate will require good communication skills and confidence with clients and other fee earners.

Paralegal

Carter-Ruck is currently seeking a paralegal for its media litigation and international law departments on a 6-month contract. Excellent academic credentials are essential (minimum upper 2:1 degree) and candidates are required either to be undertaking or have completed their LPC or SQE.

The successful candidate will be working directly with partners and other solicitors across the firm. We require the candidate to have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly analyse large quantities of evolving information. The work will include attending client meetings, court hearings, undertaking research and preparing bundles, costs schedules, assisting with the drafting of correspondence and various procedural documents, and some administrative tasks.

Subject to performance and business need, the successful applicant may subsequently be offered an extension of their contract which will be recognised as pre-qualification legal work experience for the purposes of the SQE.
