Andrew Pelling MP – Mail on Sunday Apology

3 May 2009

On September 23, 2007, we said Andrew Pelling MP had mistreated and cheated on his first wife, lied to their children about her health and failed to provide adequately for them.

We now accept these allegations are untrue and Mr Pelling’s relationship with Lucy Slaytor, whom he later married, began only after the breakdown of his first marriage. We apologise for the distress and embarrassment caused and have paid damages and legal costs.
