Anthony Steen, Conservative MP for Totnes, has won his libel complaint against the Western Morning News and secured an apology with a front page banner. The Western Morning News also agreed to pay £10,000 damages to Mr Steen.

Anthony Steen, the Conservative MP for Totnes, Devon has today won his libel complaint against Western Morning News & Media Limited, publishers of the Western Morning News.
Mr Steen secured an apology today in the Western Morning News (copy attached) together with a front page ‘teaser’ stating “Totnes MP Anthony Steen – an apology from the WMN”.
Western Morning News & Media Limited has further agreed not to repeat the allegations, and to pay £10,000 by way of damages to Mr Steen, together with his legal costs.
Mr Steen was represented by Mark Thomson and Michelle Riondel.
