Katherine works across the firm’s main practice areas of media law, commercial disputes and international arbitration, and has acted for both claimants and defendants.

In her media practice, Katherine advises private individuals and high-profile clients on a variety of reputation management and privacy matters, which includes pre-publication work against prominent national publishers and broadcasters. Such early intervention work has resulted in mitigating the potential harm to clients through obtaining amendments to future articles or broadcasts or in coverage being avoided altogether.

Katherine’s post-publication media work has covered a wide range of subject matters and involved complex issues, such as in a successful privacy claim that was brought on behalf of anonymous clients against multiple defendants which involved numerous causes of action, including defamation, misuse of private information, breaches of data protection law and breach of copyright.

Katherine’s commercial disputes experience includes advising on a complex shareholder dispute in the Commercial Court, as well as advising clients on their intellectual property rights.

Her international law practice focuses on international arbitration, in respect of which she has particular experience of ICSID arbitration.

Katherine graduated from Oxford University with a BA in Ancient and Modern History, before converting to law when she also obtained an MSc in Law and Business and Management.
