Isabella read PPE at Christ Church College, Oxford, before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism at City University.
After working as a journalist for several years, she converted to law and trained at Travers Smith, qualifying into their Litigation Department in September 2012. While there she acted on a range of commercial disputes, as well as giving pre-publication advice on privacy and defamation matters.
Isabella joined Carter-Ruck in September 2013. She works primarily in the firm’s media litigation team, advising a broad range of individuals on libel and privacy matters, as well as regularly giving urgent advice pre-publication or pre-broadcast.
Isabella also has considerable experience in commercial litigation, having dealt with claims involving passing off, professional negligence and financial mis-selling.
Recent successes include representing former hospital Chief Executive Margaret Edwards in her successful libel complaint against the Mail on Sunday. She is also acting for Tim Yeo MP in his ongoing libel claim against the Sunday Times.
Isabella speaks fluent Polish, as well as Spanish and French. She regularly writes articles on topical legal issues, both for the firm and more widely.
